Creative Business Development is for artists who are ready to stop leaving opportunities on the table. Over four Friday afternoons, you’ll build the professional foundations that turn a creative practice into a sustainable career — and leave with the tools, confidence and clarity to make it happen.
No jargon. No corporate thinking. Just the real skills that working artists need.

Week 1: Portfolio & Presentation
Your work deserves to be seen — and seen properly. This week you’ll build a portfolio that works hard for you, learn what galleries and funders actually look for, and find the confidence to present and talk about your work in any room.
Week 2: Writing About Your Work
Words are your second medium. Artist statements, biographies, CVs and proposals — plus how to write compelling grant and funding applications, so you can back your practice with real investment.
Week 3: The Business of Being an Artist
The stuff no one teaches you — but everyone needs. Pricing your work with confidence, costing your time, managing commissions, and understanding your rights. You’ll leave knowing how to protect what you make and get properly paid for it.
Week 4: Finding Your Audience & Opportunities
Great work needs the right people to find it. This week you’ll build a social media strategy that actually fits your practice, learn how to grow and engage a real audience, and map out your next six months of exhibitions, open calls and opportunities.
