What can lived experiences tell us about building more inclusive workplaces?
About this Event

Join employers, HR professionals, community leaders, and migrant workers for a practical and collaborative discussion on creating workplaces where everyone can thrive.

Migrants and refugees make significant contributions to Wales' workforce, economy, and communities. However, many continue to face barriers to recruitment, progression, and workplace inclusion, and may be more vulnerable to unfair treatment or exploitation.

Together, we'll share experiences, discuss challenges, and identify solutions that benefit both employers and workers while contributing to a more inclusive Wales.

About the Ending Workplace Exploitation Project

This event forms part of the Ending Workplace Exploitation (EWE) Project, which works to tackle unfair treatment of migrants in the workplace, promote workers' rights, and protect the dignity of migrant workers across Wales.

Migrant workers make valuable contributions to Wales' economy and communities, yet many remain more vulnerable to exploitation and less likely to report concerns due to fears of losing their job or facing further disadvantage.

The project takes a collaborative approach by:

  • Working directly with communities at risk of workplace exploitation.
  • Supporting employers to develop inclusive workplace practices and structures.
  • Influencing wider systems and policies that help protect the rights of migrant workers.

Through community engagement, employer partnerships, and advocacy, the project aims to create workplaces where everyone is treated fairly, valued for their contribution, and able to thrive.
