You are Invited to Discover the Vision for KMC Kent's New Permanent Home
About this Event

This is more than a building project.
It is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a lasting legacy of peace, wisdom, and compassion that will benefit countless people across Kent and beyond for generations to come.

Whether you have been attending classes for many years or have only recently discovered KMC Kent, we warmly invite you to join us for this special afternoon.

While work on our new permanent home is already underway, this is the first opportunity for our wider community to come together and discover the vision behind the project—to hear the story so far, explore the plans, visit the building site, and discover how each of us can help create something truly extraordinary.

For centuries, Canterbury has been a place where people have come seeking meaning, inspiration, and spiritual nourishment. Today, in a world that often feels fast-paced, uncertain, and increasingly disconnected, many people are searching for peace, purpose, connection, and authentic happiness.

Our vision is to create a permanent Centre for Meditation, Learning and Community—a place of peace where people can discover inner peace, build meaningful connections, and develop greater resilience, wisdom, and compassion.

Rooted in an unbroken lineage of meditation and wisdom spanning over 2,500 years, the centre will share practical methods, open to everyone, regardless of faith or background, to help people find authentic happiness and meet life's challenges with confidence and compassion.

Located in the heart of Canterbury, the centre will become a welcoming hub serving communities across the whole of Kent and beyond. It will strengthen and support our growing community in Canterbury, Ashford, Folkestone, Maidstone, Rochester, Sevenoaks, West Kent, and further afield. Through an expanded programme of classes, courses, family activities, community events, retreats, outreach, and livestreamed teachings, these authentic methods will become more accessible than ever before, ensuring that people can benefit wherever they live.

Most importantly, this is an invitation to be part of something truly meaningful.

Together, we have an opportunity to create a place where people can discover inner peace, authentic happiness, wisdom, and compassion for generations to come.
