Created for Connection: An Author Conversation with Nicole Morrison
Join award-winning author Nicole Morrison for an hour of stories, conversation, and connection at House of Books.
Nicole will be sharing insights from her memoir, Growing Up Happy in a Lonely World: A Mixtape Memoir, winner of the 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Award in the LGBTQ+ category.
Part memoir, part soundtrack, and part invitation to reflect on your own journey, the book explores themes of identity, belonging, resilience, family, mental health, and finding your voice in a world that often asks us to stay quiet.
This is more than a book signing. It’s a conversation about the stories we carry, the challenges we overcome, and the connections that remind us we are never truly alone.
Event Includes:
• Author talk and Q&A
• Book reading and discussion
• Personal reflections on writing and healing
• Book signing and photo opportunities
• Time to connect with fellow readers
Whether you’ve read the book already or are just discovering it, all are welcome.
