Create Your Own Container Pot For SHADE
Schedule

The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park | Traverse City, MI
About this Event
Need to liven up a shady spot in the garden or looking for the perfect container design for the front porch overhang? Join the Garden's Executive Director, Matthew Ross, as he leads you through the dynamic textures and intriguing foliage of shade-loving plants that you can use to fill your favorite containers.
After learning about how to balance texture and color in tricky situations where blooms might not be as prevalent, you'll head out to the pavilion to create your own container pot with the provided annuals, perennials, and even a few tropicals.
Don't forget this is a BYOC event! Bring in your own container (or pair!) with an opening 18” or less and a depth of 24” or less and we'll provide the rest. Shade-loving plants, potting soil, a care sheet, and fertilizer will all be provided to fill your favorite container(s).
