The Studio Club at LBC presents: Create Wildly with Legacy Lane Fiber Co.
This hands-on Eco Print Workshop invites participants to explore the art of botanical printing by creating a one-of-a-kind cotton bandana using fresh flowers, dried botanicals, and natural food waste materials such as onion skins and avocado pits.
The experience begins by exploring a seasonal collection of foraged and gathered plant materials, thoughtfully chosen to become part of your design. Guided through the eco-printing process, you’ll discover how leaves, flowers, and other natural elements release their colours, shapes, and textures onto fabric - creating one-of-a-kind patterns shaped by the season and inspired by the landscape around you.
Set among the peaceful surroundings of The Den at La Belle Cabane, this workshop is an invitation to slow down, connect with nature, and experience the beauty of creating with materials gathered from both garden and kitchen. More than a finished piece, your eco-printed bandana becomes a tactile memory of the day - carrying with it the shapes, colours, and impressions of the plants and place where it was created.
No previous experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. You'll leave with your own eco-printed cotton bandana and a new appreciation for the colours and stories hidden in the natural world.
Your Facilitator: Alyson Scott is a textile artist with more than 20 years of experience in fibre arts. A graduate of NBCCD, her practice spans natural dyeing, weaving, knitting, fibre processing, and arts education. Through her work and workshops, Alyson brings together craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep curiosity for colour and natural materials.
