Join us at Porgy's Seafood Market for a CRCLecture featuring Dr. Ehab Meselhe! Dr. Meselhe will delve into the analysis of drought events in the Lower Mississippi River, offering insights from historical records and showcasing a newly developed, computationally efficient 3D model. Discover how this model sheds light on salt-wedge dynamics during droughts and explores the impacts of factors like increased water losses, channel deepening, and sea level rise on wedge propagation. Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of our vital river system!

About Porgy's Seafood Market:
Nestled in Mid-City New Orleans, Porgy's Seafood Market is more than just a retail space and restaurant—it's a celebration of the Gulf Coast's rich diversity and abundance. With a focus on sustainability, Porgy's proudly offers wild-caught seafood sourced directly from Louisiana's traditional, multi-generational, and independent fisheries.
Here, you'll find a treasure trove of fresh-cut filets and whole fish from lesser-known but prolific species, alongside Gulf favorites like shrimp, oysters, and crabs. Seasonal delicacies such as crawfish also grace the menu, ensuring there's always something new and exciting to discover.
Step into Porgy's and experience the true essence of Gulf Coast cuisine—fresh, flavorful, and locally sourced.

About CRCLectures:
The bimonthly lecture series was conceived of as a new way to connect with supporters of coastal restoration, one that is both fun and interesting. Speakers will address a variety of topics that may or may not be directly related to coastal restoration.
