Crate Diggin & Canvas: MJ Edition

Guests step into a curated, interactive evening where they don’t just listen to the music, they help shape the experience.

Upon arrival, attendees will be invited to “crate dig” through a hand-selected collection of Michael Jackson records. Each vinyl represents a different era, sound, or moment in MJ’s career.

Guests will choose a record that speaks to them. Whether it’s a favorite song, a memory, or pure curiosity and bring it forward to be added to the evening’s live rotation.

Throughout the night, ReadyRoc will select from the records chosen by the audience, placing them on the turntable and guiding a live, organic conversation around each one. As the music plays, he’ll break down the sound, production, cultural impact, and storytelling behind the record, while also inviting attendees to share their own memories, perspectives, and connections to the music.
This creates a communal, layered listening experience: part DJ set, part storytelling session, part cultural deep dive.

At the same time, guests will participate in a guided art experience led by Karen La Beau.

Each attendee will receive a canvas featuring pre-drawn vinyl record outlines, designed to remove pressure and allow for creative freedom. Karen will guide guests in transforming their canvas into a personal visual tribute to Michael Jackson, using color, pattern, and emotion inspired by the music being played in real time.

As the records spin and stories unfold, the room becomes a fusion of sound and creativity: where each brushstroke is influenced by rhythm, memory, and mood.

By the end of the evening, guests will leave with:

• A shared cultural experience shaped by the room
• Their own completed vinyl-inspired artwork as a keepsake
