🇨🇿 Nezaměnitelný basbaryton Brada Robertse, originální texty a jedinečný folk-rockový zvuk charakterizují už více než 30 let tvorbu kanadské kapely Crash Test Dummies. Kapela, která vznikla v roce 1988 ve Winnipegu, debutovala albem „The Ghosts That Haunt Me“. Album z roku 1991 zaznamenalo úspěch u posluchačů i kritiky, dnes patří mezi oblíbené klasiky a přitáhlo k tvorbě kapely také zájem mladší generace. Zatímco věrní fanoušci vzpomínají na to, jak songy Crash Test Dummies zasáhly v devadesátkách do jejich životů, mladší generace objevila netradiční zvuk a osobité písně kanadské formace.
Druhé album „God Shuffled His Feet“ z roku 1993 obsahuje hit s názvem „Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm“, který kapele přinesl světovou popularitu. Tuto její jednoznačně nejznámější skladbu zařazují rádia do svých playlistů dodnes.
Nezaměnitelnou značkou Crash Test Dummies je basbarytonový hlas zpěváka a kytaristy Brada Robertse, který je po letech ještě výraznější. V nedávném rozhovoru pro 519 magazine Roberts řekl: „Hlas se ve skutečnosti s přibývajícím věkem prohlubuje.“ Singl „Sacred Alphaber“ z roku 2023 to jen potvrzuje.

🇬🇧 Brad Roberts' unmistakable bass-baritone, original lyrics, and unique folk-rock sound have characterized the work of the Canadian band Crash Test Dummies for more than 30 years.
Formed in 1988 in Winnipeg, the band debuted with the album "The Ghosts That Haunt Me". The album, released in 1991, was a success with listeners and critics, today, it stands as one of the beloved classics, captivating the attention of the younger generation towards the band's work. While loyal fans remember how the songs of Crash Test Dummies touched their lives in the nineties, the younger generation discovered the unconventional sound and distinctive songs of the Canadian band.
The second album "God Shuffled His Feet" in 1993 contains a hit called "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm", which brought the band worldwide popularity. Radios include this clearly, best-known song from the band in their playlists to this day.
The unmistakable trademark of Crash Test Dummies is the bass-baritone voice of singer and guitarist Brad Roberts, which is even stronger after the years. In a recent interview with 519 magazine, Roberts said, “The voice actually deepens with age.” 2023's single “Sacred Alphaber” only proves him right.
