It's time for Cranksgiving Tampa 2025! We'll be back at the wonderful Coppertail Brewing for our 14th annual event. We can't wait to see you there!__________________________________
WHAT IS CRANKSGIVING?
Cranksgiving is a bicycle scavenger hunt and food drive, and these events take place across the nation during the month of November to benefit local charities as they prepare for Thanksgiving. The 14th edition of Cranksgiving Tampa will continue to benefit Metropolitan Ministries.
So far, Cranksgiving Tampa has donated nearly 22,000 total pounds of food, including 661 frozen turkeys, to Metropolitan Ministries. For the first time in 2024, we donated more than 100 frozen turkeys from a single event!
We'll also be having a raffle again - all of our raffle proceeds will continue to go to Reach St. Pete, which was founded in 2016 with the goal of bridging the gap between people and the resources they need to help prevent and alleviate homelessness, low-income, and at-risks situations. We've donated $10,650 to local charities through our raffle.
THE BASICS
There is no entry fee for Cranksgiving Tampa, but please bring money to purchase food items during the scavenger hunt (approx. $15-$20). You will need to decide if you are riding in a team or on your own. You will be provided a list of food items to purchase, as well as specific grocery stores around Tampa where you'll be riding to in order to buy those items.
Riders are encouraged to wear helmets and bring bike locks and a bag to carry your purchases. After the results are tallied, all of the food is immediately delivered to the Metropolitan Ministries holiday tent just outside downtown Tampa for donation.
