Join us for a lecture and Q&A, to learn about the important habitat restoration work of the Massachusetts Oyster Project, which works to restore oyster reefs, recycle shells, and engage communities in protecting our coastal waters. Oysters naturally filter and clean the ocean while creating critical habitat for marine life. Yet, ocean acidification threatens their ability to survive and grow. Our work helps rebuild resilient ecosystems and raises awareness about why healthy oceans matter for all of us. The mission of the Massachusetts Oyster Project to restore Massachusetts’s oyster and other native shellfish populations is well underway. This work centers around four core pillars: Restoration, Education, Shell Recycling and Advocacy. www.massoyster.orgAbout Our speaker:
