Crane Child

Cara struggles to understand and accept her younger sister, Meg, who doesn’t speak.  Meg seems to live in an imaginary bird world, and only communicates with her sister through stories, poems, and legends about birds.  As Meg races to fold a thousand cranes, Cara gradually learns of her wild-swan-sister’s desperate wish.
