Our tutorial team for 2026 will include Aimee Farrell-Courtney, Niamh Fennell, Brian Morrissey, Kieran Leonard, Colm Phelan, Jim Higgins, Paul McClure, Rolf Wagels, and Andy Kruspe.This year we will have two fantastic concerts. The first features Brian Morrissey’s band THE OARS. The second presents Sweep Down to the Sea – a spectacular celebration of one of Ireland’s most beloved cultural icons, Percy French – featuring Jim Higgins.
The daytime workshops and lectures between classes will be given by Cormac Ó hAlmhain, with the official welcome and information about the island; Fintan Vallely, who will speak about the history of the bodhrán – “From Primitive Agriculture to National Symbol: The remarkable appearance and rise of the Irish Bodhrán”; and Andy Kruspe, who will lead a workshop on “Exploring the Rhythms of Irish Dance.”
Stevie Moises will bring his mobile lathe and a selection of woods, so he can turn tippers to your exact liking. He will be working in his workshop throughout the week and is available for chats and tipper talk. Bodhrán maker Christian Hedwitschak will also be there with a selection of drums and will be available during the week.
