Fired Arts Studio & Ripple Mobile Arts Presents 📣📣Elf-Themed Clay Wheel Throwing Workshop. Whether you're new to pottery or a seasoned pro, this workshop will guide you through the fun and challenging process of sculpting your very own elf plate with handbuilding techniques and a mug OR candle holder using the pottery wheel. 🧝🏽♀️
What You’ll Learn:
Wheel Throwing Basics: Learn the fundamentals of using the pottery wheel to form shapes, center clay, and pull up walls.
Sculptural Techniques: Transform your wheel-thrown pieces into whimsical, elf-inspired sculptures by adding arms, heads, ears, and magical details.
Elf Aesthetic: Incorporate fantasy-inspired elements to adhere to your design to liven up the elf themed event!
All participants will have opportunity to experience the pottery wheel with assistance from instructor Jeremy South. We will work 2 by 2 on the pottery wheel during the class. Create a plate by hand while you wait. All work will be dried, clear glazed fired and bagged for pickup at Fired Arts Studio about 4 weeks after the workshop.
Cost: $65.00 per person (you'll get to create 2 projects!)
Maximum 8 people per session
1st session: 11-1 pm
2nd session: 2 to 4 pm
