Craft and Book Chat - with the author!

A great way to meet new friends - with plenty to do, you'll never have to worry about making conversation. Each week over the summer we will meet in a Glasgow park (the first one will be in Queens Park and we'll meet in front of the flagpole -- will move it around to make it fair and if the weather doesn't cooperate we'll decamp to the nearest pub or cafe!) Bring along any crafting projects or sketch or colouring books, anything you fancy, and I'll bring some bits and pieces.

I'll do a wee talk about the background of the book and then we can chat about it. A big part of the idea behind doing a series like this was about creating community around the story. I still remember the fun of rushing in to school to discuss the previous evening's Neighbours and this is a way of recreating that!

There are six events and six books in the Chances Are series, so we'll read the series together. They are wee novellas that can easily be read in a week, though equally please don't worry about finishing each one - just come for the chat anyway! Also totally fine to dip in and out or join later in the series - the more the merrier!
