#CozyGirlFall Craft Club | OCT 23: Writing - Haiku Workshop (with Journal!)

Experienced writer and poet Susan J. Farese of SJF Communications will lead a class on the art of writing haiku poems. Haiku is an ancient form of Japanese Poetry typically consisting of 3 lines, written with 17 syllables (5-7-5) and often on the subject of seasons and natural settings. A cathartic, therapeutic tool for enhancing mindfulness, managing stress, engaging in community and more!

Susan has her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and is an author/poet, nature photographer, podcaster and actor/performer. She has extensive experience in teaching as well as performing.

The session will focus on the art of writing Haiku and include various nature photography prompts centered around nature and the seasons, designed to inspire attendees as they embark on their writing journey. This workshop will offer Haiku as a tool for mindfulness, wellness etc.

Participants will have ample time for reflection, allowing them to start, review, and/or enhance, and also celebrate their Haiku writing journey, regardless of their skill level.
