We hope you'll join us to celebrate PICKING UP THE PIECES, a debut novel by authors Brian Tracey and Jeff Ayers, writing together as J.B. Abbott. The authors will be in conversation with Poulsbo author, Leslie Lutz. As fall begins to make its appearance in the PNW, this book will be the perfect cozy mystery read.

Brian is the past chairman of DFWCon, Texas's premier multi-genre writing conference. He's an active member and long-serving officer of the DFW Writers' Workshop and a member of International Thriller Writers. He lives in Texas with his wife, two children, three cats, and many rabbits who've claimed his yard as their own.
Jeff's first book was a guide to the world of Star Trek novels for Simon and Schuster, Voyages of Imagination. He read over 550 books for that project and interviewed over 350 people, including William Shatner and John DeLancie. He has been a book reviewer for the Associated Press and Booklist. He co-writes thrillers about national parks under the name A. J. Landau.
Leslie is the author of Sweetest Darkness, a YA horror novel about small towns, cosmic danger, and ravenous spirits, which was named to the Spirit of Texas Reading List and which R.L Stein described as "So scary, it gives darkness a bad name." Her first book, Fractured Tide, was a Suspense Magazine Best Book of the Year and a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. She lives in Poulsbo, and when she's not writing, you can find her watching B-movies, scuba diving, or taking care of chickens.
