September 8 - October 6 , 2024September is here and guess what that means...... It's finally fall!!! What better way to kick start the season than with a Cowl Stitch Along?? We've got a stellar lineup of recommended patterns this go 'round for knit, crochet, & tunisian crochet. Everyone can join! Check out the details below and we can't wait to see you there!
There is now a way for our online community to participate in Yarncom SAL's! Here are the rules (Instagram only):
Post your participating WIP on Instagram
Tag us @yarncom
include #yccowlgirlsal in your post caption.
Each qualifying post will get you 1 entry into our SAL Gift Card Giveaway! In-person participants are encouraged to post as well!
SAL Schedule:
Kick Off: Sunday, Sept 8. 1 - 3 PM
SAL Socials: Sundays 1 - 3 PM
SAL Finale & Raffle Drawing: Sunday, Oct 6. 12 - 1 PM
Featured Patterns:
Knit: The Traveler Cowl by Andrea Mowry
Crochet: Unexpectedly Angular by Connie Lee Lynch
Tunisian Crochet: Flipdana by Natalie @ Detroit Knots
Is there a different pattern you've had your eye on? No worries! Feel free to use whichever pattern you'd like. Just be sure to select the "Choose My Own Pattern" option when signing up.
If you choose to make one of the featured patterns, you will receive a printed copy and will get the pattern sent to you on Ravelry or via email. If you'd like to receive the pattern on Ravelry, please leave your Ravelry ID in the order notes. If no Ravelry ID is included, we will send your pattern to the email provided. Not all patterns are able to be sent through Ravelry.
Yarn:
If you choose to purchase yarn for the Stitch Along from Yarncom, select the "Yarn from Yarncom" option when signing up. There is no fee for this option and you get the recommended pattern for free!
If you'd like to use your own stash for the SAL please select the "Stash Buster" option. There is a $10 fee for this option and the recommended pattern is included.
**Featured patterns will be sent after confirmation of payment or purchase of yarn.
Need Help?
We're excited to offer the help table for stitchers that may be learning a few new techniques in their project, and need a little help along the way. As a reminder, this is NOT a class. For those that prefer to have assistance getting through a single technique required in the pattern, or just want additional guidance or encouragement through the process our help table is great!
If you'd like to have access to the help table at every SAL Social for the duration of the Stitch Along (5 Sessions), select the "Help Table" option when signing up. This one time $30 fee gives you a seat at the help table every week!
If you're confident in your stitching abilities and don't need help during the SAL, select "No Help".
If you signed up for "No Help" but ended up needing some assistance, you can purchase a one-time help session for $15 at one of the SAL Socials. This is only valid for one help session.
Help Sessions are only offered in person.
Online Participation:
Our online community is welcome to participate in Yarncom SAL's!

If you complete your project within the timeline of the SAL you are eligible our Finished Object Gift Card Giveaway and can enter by completing our FO Giveaway Google Form.
Raffles & Prizes:
By joining the SAL you will be eligible to win a $15 Yarncom Gift Card at the end. How do you enter the raffle? You will receive tickets by doing the following:
Sign up for the SAL
Attend the SAL Kick Off on September 8th!
Attend one or ALL of our Sunday SAL socials from Sept 8 - Oct 6.
Purchase your yarn for the SAL from Yarncom.
Post your WIP on Instagram, tag us @yarncom, and use the #yccowlgirlsal hashtag.
And for our finishers, we will have another raffle for a $25 Yarncom Gift Card! To enter:
You must not start your project prior to Sept 8th.
You have purchased your yarn for this SAL from Yarncom.
In-Person: You have all of the project completed and attend the October 6th Finale
Online: You have all of the project completed and submitted our FO Giveaway Google Form by October 6th at noon.
