Cowhand Campout at NonPareil RanchOctober 23–25
Kern County, California
Step away for a few days and spend a weekend on horseback in wide, open country.
Cowhand Campout is open to both men and women, ages 16 and up. It’s a chance to slow down, ride, learn, and be part of a working ranch environment without the noise and distractions that usually come with everyday life.
Days are spent in the saddle—covering ground, working through obstacles, and building better habits with your horse or mule. The focus stays on practical riding and real understanding you can take home with you.
Evenings are easy. Good food, a fire when weather allows, and time to sit and visit after a full day.
This is not a crowded event. It’s a small group, which means you’ll have the space to ride at your own pace and the opportunity to ask questions and get real help when you need it.
Weekend Options:
– Full weekend (Friday–Sunday)
– Single day (Saturday or Sunday)
Horse Options:
– Bring your own horse or mule
– Limited ranch horses available (must be reserved in advance)
What’s included:
– Guided rides across the ranch, with the option to ride out on your own
– Access to the obstacle course
– Hands-on clinics and workshops throughout the weekend
– Cattle work (as conditions allow)
– Time to ride, rest, and reset between sessions
Camping is available on-site. Horses stay in outdoor panel pens with water and alfalfa hay provided.
If you’ve been wanting time in the saddle that actually means something—and a weekend that leaves you tired in the best way—this is a good place to be.
Spots are limited.
A minimum number of participants is required to hold the campout.
