Cowboys & Aliens took shape in 1996 and in the following years became a true pioneer of stoner rock in the Benelux region. With their raw, compelling sound and uncompromising energy, they quickly built a loyal fan base. Their debut albums, including the now legendary A Trip To The Stonehenge Colony (2000) and Love Sex Volume (2002), established the band’s reputation as a groundbreaking force in the genre.
In the years that followed, they toured with Monster Magnet, and shared the stage as the opening act for legends like Queens of the Stone Age, Deep Purple, Soulfly and Danzig. They also played countless festivals, where they consistently impressed with their tight, energetic style. Despite the band’s openness to influences from other musical styles, their distinctive signature always remained intact. After the album Language of Superstars (2006), they took a break which the band members used for personal projects and collaborations. The hunger for the stage and new material brought Cowboys & Aliens back in 2011 with Sandpaper Blues Knockout, an album that reignited the spark. Surrounded By Enemies (2014) followed, further cementing their position in the scene. With Horses of Rebellion (2019), released on their house label Polderrecords, the band rediscovered its full strength and sounded more intense than ever. Their most recent work BURN! (2022), once again confirmed their unique musical soul and their unmistakable identity.
