Presenters: Kristen Newman and Michael Pirtle. District Conservationists USDA-NRCSOur first program this year is introducing you to the US Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Office. Kristen and Michael are going to talk to us about using cover crops to aid in conservation of our natural resources. They will talk about how Cover Crops work, where they can be used, what kind of crops are good for the winter and which ones for the summer. They will also talk about good uses for Cover Crops and how to terminate them. You might not have ever considered the use of cover crops but you should consider attending this session, you will be surprised at what you might learn.
Be sure and bring your lunch or a snack to this free session. Everyone is welcome.
