Nothing can truly prepare us for the Reality of Life; it’s a rollercoaster. But through trial and error, and a little intuition, we forge connections and pursue love.
The intimacy of the art song recital setting allows us to examine our flings and flops, breakups and breakdowns, and loves and losses. This all-English program is comprised of works by female and LGBT+ composers and poets. Come join us for a celebration of the human existence.
Composers include: B.E. Boykin, Benjamin Britten, Jake Heggie, Lori Laitman, Libby Larsen, and Stephen Sondheim; and Poets include: Gwendolyn Bennett, Emily Dickinson, Liz Lockhead, Muriel Rukeyser, and Sara Teasdale.
