Welcome to the Court of Love!Traditionally, Courtly love was a medieval European literary conception of love that emphasized nobility and chivalry. Medieval literature is filled with examples of knights setting out on adventures and performing various deeds or services for ladies because of their "courtly love".
On this day we gather to have a tea party, play board games, write love poems and eat all the sweet things. It's probably our second most formal event or the year. There is LIMITED seating so please RSVP.
Competitions are:
-Board game competition: Winners of our various board games get bragging rights and a small prize.
-Best dessert: Bring your fanciest Valentines day themed desserts! Homemade for extra points. Small prize for the winner!
-Best Poem: Everyone is asked to write and recite a poem about love. It can be a ode to your favorite chocolate chip cookie. A sonnet about your pet. A haiku about your grandma. Winner gets the coveted GOLDEN ARROW!
