Join us for Couples & Bourbon, a guided tasting experience designed for date nights, bourbon lovers, curious beginners, friend groups, and anyone looking for a fun night out with great whiskey and good company.

At Western Reserve Distillers, we don’t just make bourbon — we love bourbon. One of the best parts of being a distillery is getting to explore the incredible work being done by iconic bourbon producers across the country, then sharing those bottles and stories with our guests.

This session features Heaven Hill’s Grain to Glass series, a newer premium lineup that has started appearing on Ohio shelves over the last couple of years. These are bottles many bourbon fans are curious about, but at higher bottle prices, they are not always easy to buy on a whim.

So we’re doing the hard work for you: opening the bottles, tasting through the lineup, talking through what makes each one different, and giving you the chance to decide which bottle — or bottles — deserve a place in your own collection.

Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series — Chinquapin Oak Wheated Bourbon
A limited-release wheated bourbon from Heaven Hill’s Grain to Glass program, fully matured in Chinquapin Oak barrels. The wheat gives it a softer, rounder profile, while the unique oak adds layers of vanilla, butterscotch, toasted nuts, baking spice, and cocoa.

Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series — Chinquapin Oak Bourbon Whiskey
A limited-release bourbon whiskey from Heaven Hill’s Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series, made with Heaven Hill’s traditional bourbon mash bill and fully matured in Chinquapin Oak. This expression brings a more classic bourbon structure, with caramel, vanilla, oak spice, toasted nut, and a richer barrel-driven finish.

Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond 7-Year Bourbon
A classic Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Heaven Hill, aged 7 years and bottled at 100 proof under Bottled-in-Bond standards. This bourbon offers a traditional profile of caramel, vanilla, honey, toasted oak, light spice, and a balanced, warming finish.

Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 7-Year Bourbon
A 7-year-old wheated bourbon bottled at 100 proof, Old Fitzgerald offers a softer and sweeter contrast to traditional rye-recipe bourbon. Expect notes of brown sugar, vanilla, honey, toasted wheat, gentle baking spice, and polished oak.Throughout the class, we’ll taste these four bourbons side by side while exploring bourbon history, production, grain selection, mash bills, barrel aging, proof, and flavor development.
