Country Swing Dance Lessons (+ All Level Open Dance) $5

Whether this is your first time or you have been dancing your whole life, come enjoy music, lessons, smiles and a night of Country dancing!
Bring a partner or come solo—everyone is welcome! We do our best to keep dances balanced with leads and follows so you may see that one or the other is "sold out" until we get enough other registrations to keep a balance. If you are open to learning both positions, please register as such.

Country Swing is an exciting, upbeat partner dance that blends traditional swing with a country flair. The basics are easy to learn, the dance is fun to watch, and even more fun to dance! Whether you’re brand new to dancing or just looking to brush up your moves, this beginner-friendly class will have you moving, spinning, and smiling in no time.

Moose Country Swing Event Details:

Cost: $5 cash at the door! (Thank you to the instructors, NE Moose Bar & Grill and Call Sarah First, Inc. for donating to help keep this so affordable and accessible!)

Location: NE Moose Bar & Grill, Minneapolis, MN (BASEMENT -private room)

Check-in & Open Dance: 6:30 PM (Happy hour ends at 6pm. Have dinner before!)

Country Swing Lessons: 7:00 PM – 7:45 PM

Line Dance Lesson: 7:45 PM – 8:00 PM

Open Dance Time: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Add your song request at registgration)

Smooth-soled shoes recommended. (Put masking tape on the bottom of your tennis shoes.)
About the Instructors:
Gabriel Holliday is a passionate dance instructor with seven years of experience, including three years in competitive dance. He specializes in country and West Coast swing styles, and brings a fun, approachable teaching style that makes everyone feel at ease.
Elijah Ehr brings laughter and a little bit of goofiness in his approach to teaching and making sure every is comfortable and having a good time. He is a patient leader and follower as you navigate through moves. He grew up dancing and has has placed in national line dance competions.
Sarah Holliday is an experienced, beautiful dancer and compliments our lead instructors by helping the follows understand what their position should be.

(MOOSE COUNTRY SPECIAL EVENTS: Logan Alger is an energetic dance instructor with eight years of experience and has been a member of two different performing swing dance teams. He specializes in east coast, country, and blues swing styles and uses his engaging and detail-oriented approach to make swing dancing easy and accessible to learn.)
