Country Boy Brewing: The Gravy Challenge

Let's celebrate Country Boy's13th Anniversary with the next installment of The Gravy Challenge!

The Gravy Challenge will be held on Sunday, February 16th from 1-4pm in the Georgetown Taproom (Check-in time is between 11am-12:45pm for competitors). This competition is FREE for all gravy chefs, however, there will be a $25 deposit on space for competitors. Your $25 will be returned to you upon check-in. Competitors will receive two drink tickets in addition to a booth space.

To sign up as a competitor, please select a ticket below. You will then receive a follow-up email a week prior to the event with the final details regarding the Gravy Challenge. Traditional and Non-traditional are not categories just suggestions as to different types of gravy that are acceptable.

- Tradtional Gravy (sausage)

- Non-Traditional (chocolate, chorizo, etc..)

What to bring/What you will need:

- At least one large batch of gravy (3-4 gallons suggested). The more gravy you make, the more you can sample out. The more samples, the more votes you can collect.

- Bring your gravy at a serving temperature. THIS MEANS BRING IT HOT!!!

- You will be transferring your gravy into disposable aluminum pans and serving trays with sternos. This will allow you to keep your gravy warm for the duration of the event.

- If you bring your gravy in a throw away container, it will make it simple on you when transferring it. Any container is acceptable though.

- Please bring a ladle or spoon to serve your gravy.

- Country Boy will supply the following: tables, aluminum pans, sternos (extra as well), plastic gloves, plates, spoons/forks and small biscuits for everyone.

- You must provide any add-on items: sausage links/patties, bacon, hash browns, etc. but it is not necessary. Please also bring anything you would need to serve these items: tongs, spoon, cooler if items need refrigerated. Country Boy will not provided any additional heat source for the add-on items. Only your (1) set of pans and sternos per competitor.

RULES:

- There are no rules for the gravy. Feel free to make any type. To reiterate, please make at least one large batch and more never hurts. We would like as many styles of gravy as possible.

- Check-in time for competitors is between 11-12:45pm, so please arrive early to get everything ready by the time guests arrive.

- Please be a friendly, respectful competitor.

- Pre packaged gravy is NOT permitted.

How the voting process will work:

1.) When guests arrive they will be provided a QR Code.

2.) They will vote on one favorite gravy via the online voting system.

3.) The votes will be tallied at 4PM at the close of the competition.

4 .) Only guests in attendance at the Country Boy Brewing: Georgetown Taproom may vote on the competition.

Awesome prizes for each Category:

1 .) Top competitor will receive a $500 Cash Prize

2 .) Second place will receive $100 Cash Prize

3 .) Third place will receive $50 Cash Prize

4 .) Best decorated table will win $50 Cash Prize

5 .) Best gravy name will win $50 Cash Prize
