About this Event
Join us for Counted in the Wilderness, a recovery-informed Shabbat evening hosted by 14Y Selah in partnership with CTI, Mid-Island JCC, and Nera-li.
This gathering is a space where addiction recovery can be celebrated out loud or simply held with quiet presence. Whether you are in recovery, support someone who is, work in the recovery field, or simply value spaces of honesty and connection, you are welcome here.
There are no qualifications needed to attend. You are welcome to share what you wish, or simply listen and be present. As in all recovery-informed spaces, anonymity and respect for one another’s stories are central to the experience.
Throughout the evening, we will move through the rhythms of Shabbat together welcoming the evening, sharing ritual moments, enjoying a meal, singing together, and creating space for gratitude and reflection.
The theme Counted in the Wilderness draws from the idea that even in moments of uncertainty or struggle, each person matters and each story belongs. This evening is an opportunity to gather in community and remember that no one walks their path alone.
Come as you are. There is a place for you at the table.
