There are a hundred ways to spend New Year’s Eve. Only one involves a collard green fritter crowned with caviar and a lamb shank made for slow toasts and second helpings. Tio Lucho’s is setting the table for both the romantics and the revelers on December 31, with a celebratory dinner bidding 2025 adios and welcoming 2026 with open arms. James Beard Award–finalist Chef Arnaldo Castillo is closing out the year the best way he knows how—around the table. His three-course New Year’s Eve menu blends the spirit of Peru with his signature Southern ease, featuring an amuse of collard green and zarandaja bean fritters with aji verde and caviar, Gulf crab and lobster Peruvian chowder, and a lamb shank seco with aji amarillo whipped potatoes, garlic greens, and shaved truffles. Dessert brings lucuma tiramisu mousse, a nod to Peru’s beloved golden fruit and a fitting finale to the year’s last meal. Dinner is $75 per person and includes a complimentary glass of Cava. Guests can also opt for a $45 beverage pairing, two whites, one red, one rosé, curated to complement each course. The regular dinner menu will be available for those who prefer to build their own celebration, but the pre-fixe experience captures the spirit of Tio Lucho’s: soulful, layered, and made to share.
