The Council Bluffs Public Library is thrilled to announce an author series entitled Council Bluffs Reads. This series will be a community reads initiative that will bring four adult authors to the library between August and April. These national authors will visit Council Bluffs, share their stories and insights, and also hold a book signing for readers. To inaugurate this literature series, we will host best-selling historical fiction author Kristin Harmel on Monday, August 24 at 6:30 p.m.
An internationally acclaimed literary figure, Kristin Harmel has achieved top status on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She is the celebrated creator of The Paris Daughter, The Forest of Vanishing Stars, The Book of Lost Names, and The Winemaker’s Wife. Her extensive body of work includes twelve additional novels, which have reached a global audience through translations in over 35 languages.
This event is free to the public but in order to provide adequate seating, we are asking for registration.
