Cougar Mountain Hike with Queer Mountaineers

Join us for a 5.5 mile hike through the dense woods of Cougar Mountain and past Coal Creek Falls. We'll do the Indian, Shy Bear, and Quarry Loop for a total of 900 feet of elevation gain. This is a moderate hike with some twisty sections, roots over the trail, and narrow bridges.
We'll meet at the Licorice Fern trailhead at 9 am, do a round of introductions and ice breakers, and then plan to hit the trail at 9:15 am.

Gear Needed: Day pack with 10 essentials, food, water, extra layers, sunscreen. Prepare for cold, rainy, and/or windy weather - check forecast before you hike. Remember that your saftey is your responisbility- know your limits and always check conditions before you headout.
