Cottingham Comedy Club presents Dave Twentyman plus support and pizza

One of the most naturally funny comics working the UK circuit — upbeat, warm, quick on his feet, and armed with a smile he apparently stole from Barry Manilow. Dave somehow survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter, and now he's in hot demand at the biggest clubs in the UK and overseas. He's played the main stages at Leeds, V Festival and Download, appeared on Made in the Northwest (ITV), and is one of the few modern comedians proudly featured on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet alongside the greats — a genuine honour for any comic. Oh, and he's been tour support for Jason Manford and John Bishop. And we've somehow got him in a room above a pub in Cottingham.
With jokes and tales you can't help but relate to, he wins over even the rowdiest of rooms with ease. This one's a treat.
Opening the show: Anthony Young — the North East's own, described by the BBC as "delightfully blunt and immensely endearing." A BBC North East New Act of the Year finalist and Runner-Up in the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year, Anth has been tour support for Carl Hutchinson and is a comedy club regular right across the UK. A cracking start to the night.
Plus two more up-and-coming acts to be announced, all held together (sort of) by your regular co-hosts — award-winning compère and Fresh Prince of Hull Fair Jed Salisbury and Admin Manager Stone Cold Rich Austin.
