Come Join Northeast Ga Storm Chasing at the Gainesville/Hall County Library, for our COSWET-Community Outreach Severe Weather Educational Training Event.
We will teach you how to prepare for severe weather and how to stay safe when severe weather happens in your community. Our detailed class will cover everything from creating an emergency kit to implementing a family emergency plan. We will cover tips on how to stay safe during a tornado, flood and lightening event. Our COSWET program is taught by organization president Timothy Hayes an experienced storm chaser and National Weather Service Skywarn Severe Weather Spotter. All attendees will receive a personalized certificate for attending this class. We will also have a FREE T-Shirt raffle.
You will get to meet "CHUNK" our flag ship storm chase vehicle. He may not be much to look at but he get's the job done. The kids are sure to love the flashing lights.
You will also learn about life as a storm chaser and get a loot at all the equipment and tools we use when we are out chasing storms. And if you are a certified spotter or would like to become certified and join our team then we can help you with that as well. We are a growing organization and we are working to create one of the biggest Severe Weather Skywarn Networks in the country with one goal in mind and that is to increase warning times and save lives across Northeast GA and Western SC.
We are a 100% volunteer organization. All donations made to our organization through our Patreon or one time or recuring donations go back into our organization for the purchase of equipment, software, first aid supplies and safety equipment for our team members.

The goal of our COSWET program is to help educate and inspire the next generation of meteorologist, storm chasers and weather spotters. We hope to see you their.
