Cosplay & Candy: Durham Truck or Treat Fan Festival
This Halloween, Durham gets a festival the whole family can enjoy.
Cosplay & Candy combines the energy of a fan convention with a free, community-centered Truck or Treat experience. Kids and teens can arrive in costume, collect candy from participating food trucks, meet artists and fellow fans, play games, enjoy live entertainment, and compete for prizes and cash prizes throughout the day.
Whether your family loves anime, comics, gaming, creative art, music, costumes, or simply wants a safe place to celebrate Halloween together, there will be something waiting for you.

Main Cosplay Showcase
The festival builds toward its biggest stage experience at 4:00 PM, featuring individual costumes, group looks, family costumes and contestants across multiple age divisions.
Select contest winners will receive cash prizes and other special prizes.
Costume participation is encouraged, but never required.

Free admission for all ages.
Candy will be distributed throughout the festival while supplies last. Early arrival is recommended for families who want time to explore the attractions, eat, take photographs and register for the cosplay showcase.

Children and teenagers must remain supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event. The Adults Only Lounge does not provide childcare or supervision.
Cosplay & Candy is produced by NC’s Top Promoters in partnership with Durham Art Guild, bringing together local artists, families, food trucks, performers, businesses and creative communities for a Halloween experience built specifically for Durham.
