Cory Waller & The Wicked Things are budding talents in the Midwest country scene. Hard work and honesty are at the center of the band’s sound and songwriting. Primary songwriter and lead singer Cory Waller writes candid portrayals built from years of life, love, ups, downs, marriage, and fatherhood. Taking inspiration from Jason Isbell, John Mellencamp, and Blackberry Smoke — Cory now forges his own musical path.Raised in rural Iowa, Waller grew up playing music in punk, metal, rock, and country bands — all just steppingstones to his current musical adventure. Foreman at K&D Painting by day, band leader by night, Cory is backed by a band of his favorite heroes and friends — The Wicked Things. Cory Waller & The Wicked Things aim to deliver a new and fresh sound to accompany this moment in time.
Valley Junction is THE place to be in Central Iowa on Thursday nights May through September. The beverage garden in Railroad Park opens at 5:00 with live music at 6:00 pm.
