Not just since they have become "corook," but since they were a kid. Think of it almost as an origin story – exploring gender identity, family tension, and queer love wrapped in a new elevated pop sound. The songs keep their heart wrenching storytelling and catchy melodies accompanied by a vocal delivery reminiscent of Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.

Kel Cripe is a comedian, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles. They were most recently featured in the 2024 Netflix is a Joke Festival’s Introducing... Showcase []. You can hear their 2023 Netflix is a Joke Radio set on SiriusXM. In addition to stand up, Kel is 1/3 of comedy trio Babe Motel, where they write/perform live and digital sketch shows. They have also been featured in SF Sketchfest and NY Comedy Fest.
