Cornwall Sports Symposium - Making Sport in the Community the Winners

All all are welcome to join in at the next Sports Symposium taking place on 8th of May, 7pm, at Newquay AFC, Newquay AFC Clubhouse, Clevedon Road, Newquay TR7 2BU. Organisations and businesses from across Cornwall are warmly invited. This event happens every 3 months and will take place in a new location as we travel round the major towns in Cornwall.

We are excited to extend the invitation to all sports from the big-name rugby, football, and cricket, to the less high-profile – climbing, lawn bowls, water-sports, dancing of all kinds, running, cycling, equestrian and canine, and deliberately including disability sport. We are also hoping to encourage less traditional ‘sports’ to come, such as paintballing, and VR gaming – any activities that are helping the heart of communities.

We are also inviting business from across the spectrum. You are welcome if you could be a supplier (accountants, designers…), if you want to support your local teams, and if you are open to some kind of collaboration around staff mental health, volunteering or another way of getting involved in your local community.

There will be a local guest speaker, and a Q and A session with a panel, followed by open networking, so you will be able to talk with others in this area.

We plan to have people in the room, from a wide variety of sports organisations, and local businesses such as yours, who share a passion for sport in its various forms, so we do hope you can join us.

The event is free to attend, and is open to all, whether you are a member of Your Partnerships or not.
