Recognized by the New York Times as one of the busiest musicians on the scene, cornetist Kirk Knuffke has performed with a who’s who of musicians from drummer Tootie Heath to guitarist Mary Halvorsen. That’s in addition to working with the Matt Wilson Quartet. Allison Miller’s Boom Tic Boom as well as his own recordings. In a career spanning more than a half century pianist Harold Danko has established himself as a distinguished pianist, composer, band leader and educator. In addition to more than thirty CDs under his own name, Danko has worked with the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Big Band, Lee Konitz, Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan. His latest CDs are all inspired by the music of Igor Stravinsky.
