About this Event
East Cleveland: A Vision For Our Future is a film co-created by the communities of East Cleveland and a team of Tees Valley-based artists.
Across 33 minutes the film explores an imagined 2045 of East Cleveland where communities can dream of a better future for the places they call home and the people who live there.
The film was created by with contributions from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary Academy, KTS Academy, Senses Wellbeing CIC, Loftus Youth Club, Lingdale Youth Club, Redcar & Cleveland Council Youth Service, Skelton Court Care Home, The Swash Family, and more.
The film explores themes of community, accessibility, nature, transport and travel, work, family, facilities and activities, and charts it’s way through the hopes and dreams that today’s East Cleveland residents have for themselves and for others to come.
There will be a screening at Loftus Town Hall on Saturday 18th April, and at Saltburn Arts on Saturday 25th April. Both screenings will be captioned.
Co-created by communities in East Cleveland and artists Lynne Lawson, Patrick Hollifield, Kat Kynas, Izzy Neish, Beth Simpson & Lauren Wilson.
