About this Event

We will meet 10 am sharp infront of Most Childrens Museum. Downtown Syracuse offers journey through the city architectural past, where each landmark tells part of its evolving story. We will pass by Landmark Theater, a stunning 1920's movie palace known for its ornate design and role as centerpiece of local arts and entertaiment. Nearby, the historic Hotel Syracuse-now restored as the Marriott Syracuse Downtown reflects the city golden age of travel and hospitality.

Continuing though downtown, visitors encounter the impressive Onondaga County Courthouse and Syracuse City Hall, both architectural landmarks that highlight Syracuse civic pride and goverment history. The tour then moves into Clinton Square, the historic heart of the city, once bustling hub of the Erie Canal and now gathering place for comunity events.

Finally, the walk concludes in Armory Square, a revitalized district known for its preserved 19 th century buildings, vibrant dining scene, and conection to Syracuse's industrial past. Together, these sites showcase the transformation of Syracuse from canal town into modern urban center while preserving its unique historical character.
