We’re grateful to see so much conversation happening over at Coolfmlive and SSVEC currents. That tells us people care, and we welcome thoughtful dialogue. To help continue the discussion, we want to share that our Founder, Acacia Barnett, will be speaking at the @Copper Queen Library (Bisbee, AZ) as part of Black History Month. This will be an open, educational conversation where community members are invited to learn, ask questions, and engage directly.
During this talk, Acacia will share:
• The history of Black Women In Progress (did you know the organization’s roots go back to the early 1970s?)
• How Girls Confidence Camp began and evolved
• What nonprofit development actually means — and what it does not mean
• How this project has been planned responsibly over several years
• And she’ll be answering questions from the community
We believe in transparency, education, and building alongside the communities we serve.
All are welcome. All questions are welcome. Dialogue is encouraged.
