Michael Francis conducted Aaron Copland?s grand Third Symphony for a momentous occasion ? his first opening night as Music Director of The Florida Orchestra. Joan Towers Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman opens the program. Gershwin?s Piano Concerto will be in the hands of guest soloist Tzimon Barto.
