Grounding and Sensory Soothing Techniques
led by Dr. Farah Herbert
Sunday, July 5th at 3PM
All are welcome to join us for a presentation and interactive workshop on trauma, how it affects the body, and the various grounding techniques we can employ to help manage our trauma responses.
Board certified psychiatrist and trauma expert Dr. Farah Herbert will teach us these techniques, and we will practice how to use them.
This gathering is to help us recognize how our bodies respond to danger and the impact of existing in a world in constant crisis. It will help participants learn to use their senses to extend their capacity to navigate through crisis.
In addition to practicing various grounding techniques, participants will create small kits with items to keep and use on the go, in their daily lives.
