Cambridge and Oxford University Quiz Societies are pleased to announce that the 2025 edition of the Cambridge-Oxford Open Tournament (COOT) will take place in Oxford on Saturday 15th February! The difficulty will be similar to previous editions of COOT (roughly 3 dot). Details about the set, including the distribution, can be found here: https://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=399271 We are aiming to have the tournament be played across four colleges, with teams moving between colleges only during the lunch break to minimise disruption. Please note these times are tbc, but we are aiming to have a short briefing at each site beginning at around 9:45 for a 10:00 start time for the day itself. The cost is £100 per team, with a discount of £5 per functioning buzzer set brought (up to a discount of £20); the buzzers must lock out other buzzes until a moderator resets. The field cap is 18 teams, with a likely expansion to 24. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, but 6 slots will be reserved for student teams.
