About this Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Ghosts can exist both literally, in terms of the supernatural and spiritual, and metaphorically, in terms of systemic erasure. What ghosts surround the characters that we create? What haunts them and the worlds they call home? What do we as writers know about our characters that they don’t yet or will neverknow about themselves? To what extent will our readers perceive the residues of history, legacy, and memory that linger inside our characters’ lives? Through selected short excerpts and generative exercises, participants will “uncover” the layers of how their worlds have left marks on their characters. Open to all levels.
