👣 Hike Description
This rewarding circular hike is one of the best introductions to the Chiltern Hills. We’ll leave Wendover through woodland paths before descending into quiet vales and open fields, then climb onto the Chiltern escarpment where sweeping views open across the countryside around Princes Risborough. Passing through the charming village of Whiteleaf, we’ll see the famous Whiteleaf Cross carved into the chalk hillside, a landmark surrounded by ancient burial mounds and historic trackways.
The return route continues along beautiful wooded valleys and hills before reaching the open ridge of Coombe Hill, with magnificent views north across Aylesbury Vale. Expect a rewarding mix of woodland, farmland, escarpment paths, history, and panoramic scenery.

Location: London Marylebone Rail Station next to main ticket office
Depart: Meet us 08:50 am, we leave 09:10 am for 09:27 am train
Return: 07:20 pm Back in London (commitment required until then).
