Welcome to Cool Birding High in The Clouds!
Come join us for a fun and exciting birdwatching adventure high up in the clouds! Get ready to spot some **amazing** high altitude species such as the White-headed Woodpecker, Western Bluebird, Red Crossbill, Western Tanager, and Clarkâs Nutcracker, all the while enjoying the breathtaking views from above.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with nature and fellow birding enthusiasts, not to mention your leader, master ornithologist Kurt Leuschner! Bring your binoculars and cameras for a chance to capture some **unforgettable** moments! Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot soon. See you there!
THE DETAILS:
- Leader: Kurt Leuschner, Professor of Natural Resources, College of the Desert, Ornithologist
- Date and Time: Friday, June 7, 10:30 am- about 12:30 pm ( see on purchasing Tram tickets and arriving on time) Remember receive a 20% discount on Tram tickets.
- Meet at: 3rd floor terrace at the top of outdoor stairs one floor up from the 2nd floor Mountain Station tram terminal. Look for Kurt pictured below. If you cannot attend please cancel online as soon as you know.
- Preparation: At least 1 liter of water, sturdy shoes, snack, binoculars (also available to loan at 1st floor Visitor Center) Hat, sun screen, bird check list (available at the NHA Visitor Center). Note: To borrow 1 or more BINOCULARS please email Kurt after registration.
- Hike Level: Easy, mostly trail walk
