An immersive technique-driven class offering a deep dive, hands-on exploration of sourdough bread. Beginning with the life and care of a starter, guests will study fermentation, hydration, and structure, learning how water, flour, salt, and time work together to create flavor, texture, and strength. Through guided practice, we’ll break down the techniques, common pitfalls, and flexible “rules” that shape successful sourdough; empowering bakers to adapt the process to their own kitchens and lives. Each guest will leave with a fully baked loaf, Uncommon Ranch’s house sourdough starter, and a foundational understanding of sourdough that creates in even the most novice of bakers, a confidant and often lifelong love affair with carbs.
