Cooking Dinner Theatre: A Taste of India

Join us for an unforgettable evening at Hewitt Oaks, where moss-draped oaks and expansive Lowcountry views create the perfect backdrop for fabulous food, easy conversation, and a little culinary adventure.

Your evening begins with a warm welcome and flavorful bites to set the tone. From there, you’ll settle in as Chefs Christopher and Bethany Hewitt guide you through a live cooking demonstration, sharing the stories, techniques, and personal connections behind each dish.

For A Taste of India, Christopher and Bethany will share some of their own favorite recipes—from classics like Butter Chicken and Bhindi Do Pyaza to creative Indian–Southern fusion dishes. It’s sure to be a feast for all the senses!

During the cooking demonstration, you'll enjoy a three-course plated dinner paired with your choice of complimentary wine, beer, or Signature Cocktails. Along the way, you’ll pick up tips and insights you can use in your own kitchen, and you'll get all the recipes to recreate the experience at home whenever the mood strikes!

Expect a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional food, and the kind of gracious Southern hospitality that makes you want to linger just a little longer. We can’t wait to share this evening with you!

Table reservations are available for 2, 4, 6, or 8 so you can all sit together! We'll show you our tips and secrets for preparing each dish, and you'll get the recipes to take home with you!

Cost is $199 per couple. 21 and over only. Tickets are non-refundable.

Weather permitting, dinner will be served in the courtyard for a delightful al fresco dining experience! In the event of inclement weather, we will move indoors to Gracie Ballroom, a double-height event space with balcony and grand fireplace.

MEET THE CHEFS

Christopher Hewitt is the Executive Chef of Southern Graces. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park, NY. and has extraordinary talent and experience. Christopher worked with Bobby Flay for 12 years, claimed an Iron Chef Victory, prepared dinner for Julia Child, and has earned many other awards and accolades, including Bluffton Today's Best Chef in Bluffton. He's an expert at taking everyday favorites and turning them into an extraordinary culinary experience!

Bethany Hewitt founded Southern Graces in 2002 and is also a trained Chef. She works with high-end clients to design, plan, and execute extraordinary events, like the reception for The Lord Bishop of London, the CMT Awards, and the launch of Porsche 911. Bethany loves sharing her passion for food and design. You can count on it being a fabulous event whenever she's involved!
