MANDATORY TROOP COOKIE PICK UP @ Cabot Fire Station next to Renew Church off of 2nd Street. When you pull in to the fire station, drive around to the back of the building and through the fire station garage. For those helping unload and sort, please park in Renew's parking lot. When picking up, DO NOT sit in your vehicle and expect the volunteers who have been there all day to load your vehicle without your help. Please get out of vehicle and help.
LOTS of volunteers are needed to help unload cases off truck, to help sort troops orders and load in troop vehicles. We have thousands of cases of cookies coming for our service unit. Volunteers can be any parent, friend or family member you trust to invite to help, 9th grade and up only due to liability, no younger kids are allow
bed. All teens coming will be expected to help. Please invite all you can. Typically the unloading/sorting process takes about less than two hours. Then it takes the rest of the time to continue sorting troop orders and pick ups. Since we have only 16 troops that have pick ups, the cut off time for pick up will be much sooner in the day than previous years.
NO CHILDREN allowed at cookie drop or to pick up cookies at drop (this includes inside the vehicle). Childcare arrangements must be made.
Truck is set to arrive around 8am. The more volunteers we have at that time, the faster it'll get done. We cannot do this with very few people there. Please know the majority of us who help take time off of work to be able to help unload the cookies every year, except this year it will be a holiday! Woo hoo!
Bring working gloves, otherwise hands will get extremely dry from cardboard cookie boxes. They'll help if it's cold as well.
Water bottles will be provided for all volunteers. Donuts for breakfast.
Each troop should plan to bring as many drivers/vehicles you believe the cases will fit in for your troop order. The leader/cookie mom MUST be present to sign for cookies acquired. We will collect two boxes of cookies to donate to places around town as a Thank You gift.
Individual girls cookies will have a separate pick up time and location from your leaders. Your leader/cookie mom will let you know when/where that will be.
