Cook Like Bakehouse 5: TOAST

If there's not much in the fridge but you need to make dinner, who ya gonna call? That's right - it's TOAST. Join us for a cookery class where we make three different Bakehouse-style toast toppings, all rich in veg and in flavour:

• Creamy garlic mushrooms with sage
• Homemade barbecue baked beans
• Hummus with roasted veg and herb oil

All three are vegan and quick to make, easy for beginners and experienced cooks alike. Also, they mostly rely on tinned foods, making this session especially budget-shopper and food-bank-user friendly.

• Cook Like Bakehouse is a new programme of pay-what-you-can weekly cookery classes at Bakehouse, a pay-what-you-can cafe in Great Yarmouth
• We want to empower people in our town with money-saving, nutrition-boosting cookery skills
• All dishes prepared will be vegan, though we cannot completely guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination with dairy products or other allergens, even if not listed as an ingredient
• No need to bring anything except yourself!
• Suitable only for those aged 16 and over
• It's free to book, but we would hugely appreciate a donation if this is something you're able to do
• Similarly, please tell us if you book but are then unable to make it, as places are limited and we want to make sure every class is full
